My research focus is on exploring ways to ensure the well being of the current human population and to build a prosperous sustainable world for future generations.

I am leading multidisciplinary research in sustainability and energy management at the interface of engineering and social sciences; and in impacts of future changes in climate on human populations at the interface of atmospheric physics, public policy and health sciences.

In addition to my academic work I am actively engaged in sustainability consulting for the public and private sectors at Safara, developing a strong practice in sustainability planning, linking system design, technology, and the all-important human behaviour.



Moreover, I am working for one of the core projects of World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) at the UN.
