nothin' to say

bleeeehhhh...and winter's only just begun!

Progress on my dad's other sock is not exciting enough to report on, and going slow because I am hella busy with teaching and research. If I really hustle, I might get started on my winter mittens in March, just in time for spring.

Getting this paper out the door is turning into a sysophean task - every time I think it's ready to go, one of my two supervisors points out something totally obvious that needs to be changed but which, for some reason, I didn't notice before. I'm doing a double T.A. load, all in hopes of making rent consistently over the summer. Fortunately, the prof for the new course I'm doing is insanely organized, prompt, and together -- which makes my job a lot more motivating. On the other side, every week I get dangerously close to my students figuring out that I don't actually know what I'm doing (because, by a twist of fate having to do with my study-abroad year, I never actually took this course that I am now teaching). Oh man, I am such a fraud.
