Mail from Iowa II


Nothing makes my day like getting cool stuff in the mail.

Today I got a package from my pal Danielle, who just spent two weeks in Africa.
Here's the loot:


Coffee! And photos! The coffee is from Uganda, and the photos are from Cape Cod Nerd Camp , where Danielle and I were housemates. I like that one of me knitting - that was the last night of the summer, and I was stitching up the flame hat from the stitch n bitch book. Note that all the other pictures were taken on the beach. And there we have the reason why oceanography totally beats atmospheric, like, hands down.

So, Danielle is the the shit for thinking of me when she encountered coffee in Uganda. She also emails me daily with reasons why, even though nobody will give us scholarships, we are bada$$ science girls, and that's good. This is also how I came to agree to the Des Moines marathon. mmmm...Iowa.
