The MUMM International Award 2003 for a SPARC /STTA paper

At its 54th session, the Executive Council of the WMO conferred the Norbert Gerbier-MUMM International Award for 2003 to the authors of the paper entitled "Stratospheric temperature trends: observations and model simulations" published in Review of Geophysics, 19, 1, in February 2001.

This paper was co-signed by V. Ramaswamy, M.-L. Chanin, J. Angell, J. Barnett, D. Gaffen, M. Gelman, P. Keckhut, Y. Koshelkov, K. Labitzke, J.J.R. Lin, A. O'Neill, J. Nash, W. Randel, R. Rood, K. Shine, M. Shiotani and R. Swinbank.

It is felt by the SPARC SSG as a major honour and a recognition of the very successful activity carried out under the banner of SPARC by the Stratospheric Temperature Trends Assessments Initiative (STTA) under the leadership of V. Ramaswamy
