The APE-GAIA Campaign (Airborne-Polar Experiment, Geophysica Aircraft in Antarctica) was performed in September-October 1999 from Ushuaia (Argentina), with the main objectives to study the chemistry and dynamics of the Antarctic polar vortex. The project was sponsored by the Italian Programme for Research in Antarctica, and 11 countries participated.
The data analysis is in progress, and results are planned to be provided for SPARC Newsletter 15.
