Hullo... I'm back.
Hey, I'm in Canada. Read the
backlog.
That was a fabulous trip, but I'm glad to be back
home, even if it is only for three days. If you're reading this, it means I
finally got my Lappy connected to the "inter" "net", in which case, you need to
scroll your bad self down and read my updates from the last
week.My last night in Germany was
great. I got to hang out with my two "grown up" cousins, who were definitely
the coolest people I knew in, like, 1986, and who owned cool stuff like an
Atari. Nina used to have her room plastered top to bottom with posters of Don
Johnson and the other guy from Miami Vice, and is now a mom of 5 (!) young'ns.
Christoph used to let us watch horror movies without our parents knowing, taught
us dirty jokes, and hasn't really changed since the 80s except that he now
sells cars and owns a boat.It was fun
to hang out with the fam, even if we did spend most of the time discussing the
new shipment of carp and whatever other living creatures that they got for the
lake. I just had nothing equally exciting to tell them ...not like I'm
spending 4 weeks in India or
anything.Good times nonetheless. The
kitchen table says it
all:
Wine,
beer, sock yarn, and one pet snake. It was a fun
night. So today I flew back to Canadia,
but not before I made sure I had made proper use of my poster
tube.
When coming back from a long trip, you
really need to have a bottle of wine ready.
The whole flight I was reading this book, which is making me pretty darrrrrnnn
nervous about leaving or Calcutta on Wednesday. But excited, too. Other than
underwear, I relaly have no idea what to pack.
