Bizzay with Skool

Gosh, I wish I could show some pictures of stuff I knitted this weekend, but other than a few rows of Menia , I didn't accomplish anything. See, I'm writing this paper on my summer research project right now, and that's a lot easier to procrastinate when you're out doing stuff than when you're on the couch and knitting, in plain view of the paper, which glares at me asking to be worked-on. On Saturday I went to The Naked Sheep with Rebekah and our secret friend (heh.), which was awesome. I bought more Noro Kureyon to go with the 4 random skeins I've had lying around for months. They shall become a berry colored poncho, at least once I bust out of the prison that is Menia.

Naked Sheep rocks. I can't afford most the yarn they sell, but that doesn't stop me from touching it all and cooing, and the two girls who run it are cool as shit. They've got a ton of books for insipiration, and the decor is totally my style. Particularly the big pink circle on the wall. And their little knitten-n-chillen area by the window is well lit and super gemuetlich. Also, they have the best yarn store name ever.

I'm mad at the people at Rowan for making patterns that I want so bad, but packaging them in books that i can't afford, and for yarn that I can only dream about. I have a weird crush on the brown and blue combo of Rowan Ribbon Twist. But at $20 a ball, with even the smallest pattern beyond a hat requiring 2 balls, I'm out of luck.
