Bring it.
A few months ago, a day like today would
have destroyed me. Today, I got through it and I am still smiling. Aw
yeah.
Today I had to TA for two hours, then tutor
for an hour, then have a meeting with one of the profs I TA for, then tutor for
another hour. In between all of these things, I had to scramble to get my shit
together before the next thing started. Yes, indeedy, I think I am finally
making my peace with teaching, and teaching like I have something to say, as
opposed to teaching like the students are holding a gun at me and asking for
information. Of course I think this is all God doing a sort of divine
Jedi-training thing on me to make me into exactly the teacher he wants me to
be...but I'm a religious nut, of course.
:)Anyways, today I'm finally adding
another link to my sidebar, which is for the Manolo's shoe blog . This blog
is megafabulous, firstly because the Manolo, he shares my taste in the style of
the shoes, and, secondly, because his disses on freaky celebrity hijinks and
fashion-world crackpottery are just friggin hilarious.
Hm, I really want to post a picture,
but I have nothing knitted to show. How about this loverly hyperbolic surface?
I didn't make it, but some cool mathies
did.
NPR did a story on these. The reporter is Jacki Lyden,
who I like because she's a good reporter, but also because she went to the place that built my
intellect , which she mentions in her hilarious/tragic autobiography .
