Friday again!?
Wasn't it last Friday, like, 5 minutes
ago?
My weeks go by SO fast these days, though not
really in a good way...though maybe it is good since winter sucks anyways, and I
wouldn't mind just letting it be a blur. I'm just so freak-ay busy, what with
teaching and all, and the realization that I have been here since 2001 and have
yet to publish a paper. The good news is, when I'm busy I (a) don't have time
to worry as much, and (b) forget about vices like TV and shopping. I also
finally got paid today after 2 weeks of credit carding everything, and that
feels frickin'
great.
Now I need to go pay back all the people whom I owe money. Tomorrow, I'm going
to go grocery shopping. I will buy real cheese and fancy yoghurt, fancy bread,
red tomatoes, meat, and wine. There will also be Fancy Feast for my cat beast.
It will be glorious. Tonight, I'm
going to celebrate my new paycheck my friend Danielle's
impending marriage at her bachelorette party, out in Mississauga. If you are
not
in the 'Ga tonight, you should check out my friend aquaintance
friend Jason, who is a D.J., and some his friends from the DJ / hip hop world,
do a party/fundraiser/DJ-type thing (clearly I am not cool enough to go, just by
this feeble description)
tonight,
at the Labyrinth
Lounge (Brunswick & Bloor...near Futures Bakery), 9:30 pm.
Really cool invites don't happen to me that often, and when they do, they are
all on the same night. And you came to
check on my knitting, did you? (Right. Because I have so many readers) I did
a whopping 3 inches of sock on Wednesday, and that's about it. I've half a mind
of cut school for the rest of the day and take my healthy debit card down to
Romni. ...But that would be bad.It
just occurred to me that this is the kind of post that the mean girls who post
on Knitflame might tear to pieces in a bitchy rage. Maybe not. Chances are
they wont ever read this. In any case, I no longer subscribe to that list of
evil knitting, so I don't really need to care. Heh...so much to hate about me,
if that's your thing: I am a girly girl, and a Christian, and I blog even though
I've only been knitting since spring 2004. Bring it.
