s-a-t-u-r-d-a-y NIGHT!

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline

I try to live my life with that verse (2 Timothy 1:7) echoing through it. In practice, I'm pretty darn timid, not to mention initmidated, not to mention afraid, not to mention ...kinda lazy and tired. As much as I try to go out and grab life by the horns and let the H.S. do his thing, so many weekends I end up sitting on my butt, so tired that I can barely get it together enough to knit.

That said, I love Movie Night in Canada. Who needs Hockey? Not I, said the (non-canadian) fly. Tonight's lineup: Pocahontas, Back to the Future, and Psycho. Perfect for knitting and chillin with the white tiger, and getting my relax on (except that I'm watching Pocahontas right now and thinking damn, this movie sucks).

Speaking of cats, and knitting, and being a knitting cat lady, I finally finished the Cat Hat that I promised my friend and fellow aspiring-spinster-cat-lady Danielle from Summer Camp :

Danielle needs extra TLC right now because she spent a lot of time and energy trying to get Iowans to vote for Kerry (I've asked her to come to Canada).
The hat's purple, made from Brown Sheep Naturespun, generously donated by RebeX . I got that postcard on Queen Street.

Yay! Haley of knitomatic posted much better pictures than I took of the bigger things I am capable of making if pushed.
Although, while pimping out my knitting skills for was fun and profitable, I don't really want to knit with a deadline again...I've got overdue-project-guilt galore already.

Is it too early to start listening to Christmas music? Seems like it. I think I will wait until the lights go up on Bloor Street, or at least until the big tree outside my window loses all its leaves.

Hurrah, next week I am going to Pittsburgh for 3 days of swing dancing and very little sleep. I've finally started taking Bal lessons, so hopefully my dancing wont totally suck like last year.
