Ringelsocken almost fertig

Check these bad boys out.

I'm almost done with my socks. I would be done already if I hadn't futzed up the decreases on sock #2 last week and had to rip back. But in any case, how frickin cool are those stripes? I know, it's not like I'm the first person in the world to use Regia sock yarn, but I'm still durn excited about it every time it changes color.

I left my other two projects (turtleneck shrug, cabled cardigan) in Chicago, figuring that there wouldn't be much point in lugging all that yarn back to Toronto only to have time to do one or two rows on each, and then lug it all back to Chicago for Christmas.

Aaaaand:
It turns out that I do have Christmas knitting to do, after all. My mom wants a scarf because one of her coworkers is selling handknit scarves to all the other nurses, and Mom was already like, I don't need one, cos I've got a crafty daughter. "And I could use a turtleneck too," she said, "you know, in case they cut my entire neck up next week." Dad wants socks. And my little brother was like, "dude, I'd wear a scarf if you made one." I can't believe someone actually wants my handknit stuff, but I'm happy to oblige...

Oh, man, am I behind on my shit.
