who's yo daddy?

Viking sweater, prepare to become my bitch.

Check it out:

that sucker is almost done. I've been knitting like crazy on this sweater, mostly because I have other projects that I want to do, and I'm tahrd ma, tahrd of silky wool, cables, short rows, Elsebeth's vague pattern descriptions ...and whatnot. I think if I just suck it up and go for it now, I can have this mofo done before the weekend.

More exiting: 2 hours from now, I'm going to be a cat lady! The first free thing I managed to get off the Freecycle list: a kitten in need of a home. I'm getting a kitty! I have wanted a kitten since I was about 7 years old, and now I'm finally a grown-up, and can do what I want, so here we go. ...Neato.

All I know about my lil' buddy is that he's white and male. I've thus lowered it down to two names: Angel ('cos he's white, and maybe a little because I expect him to fight evil) and Binky.
I also liked Lil Brudde r, but since he has 4 healthy legs, it just wouldn't be the same.
Binky was the first one that popped into my head, and I ran it by my brother, who put it in perspective:

My pal Brent then suggested Admiral Panthro, which would be cool because then I could go home with the excuse that "I need to report to the Admiral", but alas, there can only be one name for me kitty. I'll decide when he gets here whether he's more of an Angel or a Binky.
