Finally woken.

Winter is over! And it's been a very knitterly Easter.

Yesterday I celebrated the last day of lent by hosting a knitting / crafts party.
So much fun! Like a little workshop of hipster elves, creating scarves and socks and shootin the shit.

But I think it was the non-knitters who stole the show....
My friend Enoch made this fabulous drawstring cellphone cozy out of an old gauge swatch, while Pat (he of the tie dye shirt) made pipe-cleaner art, like this "Sign of Jonah" window hanging.

After we finished crafting, my cool friend Jason came over and we talked religion for a few hours while polishing off the rest of the gin... until I was left with a messy apartment, a very warm heart (aw.), and a lot of progress on my green knitting projects.

After cleanup, I wrote this haiku:

Hearts tangled like yarn
How we laugh this empty tomb
As the needles dance.
