Buried Treasure

ho hum. one day left of vacation.

Well, I have to get my patootie back to Toronto tomorry, and I'm still not that excited, except that I can see my cat again. Actually I have a lot to look forward to in Toronto and it is good to hang out with people my own age, it's just that I really hate my office. It smells, and my cubicle is tiny, and ...I know, everyone's job sucks, but we do them anyway.

Yesterday I set up the family Christmas tree and, whilst sifting through many years of Christmas bling down in the basement, I came across some cool shit, of which I will add pictures when I get back to my apartment and my camera:

1. a brown and orange ceramic sugar bowl from the high 70's. It's awesome! I love the orange, and I always need more containers for random small shit.

2. an orange and blue striped chicago bears scarf. I always thought bears colors were lame, but now I think this thing is hella cool. And it supports the home team. Take that, hipsters.

3. a whole whack of yarn from some short lived craft excursions by my mom. Most of it is from an afghan she crocheted when she was pregnant with me (see, I had a crafty influence while in the womb), so it's various shades of brown. Some of it is from South Africa, so circa 1975, and I think it's acrylic. What can I make out of it? I dunno, but first off it needs some Eucalan, because it really smells like it came from the 70s.

In other news, my small group is in charge of invocation at church this Sunday, and we're doing fake snow with tissue paper, while one the pastors reads the Christmas story. Awww yeah.
