Entrance to St. George's Monastery

Named after St. George of Koziba, the monastery was originally built in the late 5th century, destroyed and rebuilt by the Greek Orthodox Church from 1878-1901. Services were originally attended by "cave-dwelling hermits" (Lonely Planet’s words, not mine).
