Ninety riders turned out on a beautiful evening for the Monday Night events. The group sizes were kept managable by having the newcomers practice on a separate circuit within the north lot.
Thanks to the many people that make an event with this many participants function. Rider coaches: Ed Makarchuk, Gary Hirsh, Phil Moore, Steve Hamilton, Aubrey Bryce and Peter McCaffery. Thanks to Midweek's Craig Fagan for setting up the course and various behind the scenes efforts and coach Otakar Dolezel for being on hand for consultations and to Oakville Cyclepath's Phil Moore for two prime prizes (1 season of spinning class + 15% off accessories).

Effective immediately, the Midweek Cycling Club Inc. has terminated its relationship with the Vaughan Cycling Club.
Over the past three months, it has become clear that certain obligations on the part of Vaughan Cycling Club owed to the Midweek Club and the Midweek Men.s team have not been met.
The Midweek Cycling Club's activities will not be adversely affected and our club will continue to run its comprehensive racing and women's development programmes and the four weekday race series.
Midweek will also organize the twenty-fifth annual CHIN Picnic Criterium with a new and exciting format and, in addition, will run an expanded Corso Italia Grand Prix weekend.
It is unfortunate that the proposed amalgamation with Vaughan C. C. was not workable and we wish the Woodbridge-based club every success in the future.
Peter McCaffery

The third event in the current series attracted six riders. We have not seen the success of the Scarborough Thursday TT yet but this will come. Although the field was small, a couple of quite fast out-of-towners showed up and posted fairly respectable times. If they hadn't done 100km motor pacing in the morning they would have done significantly better. One of Ital Pasta's latest recruits also rode and didn't do too badly either
