We are revising our launch readiness date to Monday (night) August 26. Today is being spent working on instrument preparations, while SIL prepares for tonight's dry run, which will begin at 8 PM. Pointing System - working on software to integrate reaction wheel, add modes including momentum dump, and set up automation of measurements MSC SunPhotoSpectrometers (SPS-B1, SPS-B2) - calibration completed - almost flight ready MAESTRO-B - need one wiring modification for communications with pointing system - working on focusing, may calibrate U of Denver FTS - have rigged up a "tent" indoors to get a low-humidity environment - needs alignment, then solar measurements to test detector alignment and set gains MSC FTS - working on software (should work for sunrise now) - need to do alignment, solar scan and set gains MSC OH Spectrometer - working on optimizing the resolution, aligning the polarizer, software, and possibly adding heat sinks MSC Emission Radiometers - need to test flaps - otherwise ready to fly Service d'Aeronomie SAOZ - ready to fly U of T On-board Datalogger - SIL integrating with CIP Ozonesondes - sixth launch this morning with small Totex balloon Ground-based MSC Brewer - continuing direct sun measurements Ground-based York U AOTF spectromter - continuing zenith-sky measurements - working on automation software Ground-based U of T zenith-sky spectrometer - continuing zenith-sky measurements - working on polar alignment and tracking with telescope Ground-based MSC SPS-G - continuing direct sun measurements, should do zenith sky at sunset tonight Overall schedule: Thursday August 22 - dry run (8 PM to midnight) Friday August 23 - RFI test, instrument alignment/calibrations with sun August 24-25 - hanging test with crane August 24-25 - instrument preparations and testing Monday, August 26 - flight ready All for now.
