The one that got away !

We had planned to fly into an amazing synoptic scale system which tracked past Newfoundland and into the Labrador Sea region over the 29th - 31st January 1997. Unfortunately mechanical failure twice within 3 hours scuppered our plans and left us swearing on the runway as the weather passed us by.

The imagery and the cloud streets we saw over St John's that day - the 30th January were so beautiful that this case became the one that got away.
